If you have low back, knee, or wrist pain, we may recommend a brace to promote healing and reduce pain by providing daily support to the damaged area of your body.

If you are suffering from a painful condition, such as osteoarthritis, meniscus injury, or ligament injury, we may recommend bracing.
Our chiropractors lead our bracing program, providing back, knee, and wrist braces. The braces come in a variety of designs, but usually include a rigid component for support, and a flexible component for padding and positioning. As a part of a comprehensive treatment plan, a brace may help you increase your activity level and achieve greater long-standing relief of your symptoms.

Back bracing may be recommended as part of your treatment plan for a variety of low back pain conditions, including back muscle strain or lumbar sprain, degeneration of or injury to the facet joints or intervertebral disks, spinal stenosis, and vertebral fractures, as well for after back surgery or procedures. Properly fitted back bracing can provide many positive benefits, including helping you achieve proper posture, reducing the weight-bearing load of your spine, and stabilizing your pelvis and lower spine.

If you are suffering from a painful knee condition, such as osteoarthritis, meniscus injury, or ligament injury, we may recommend knee bracing. A knee brace may help you stay active and reduce pain by stabilizing the knee and shifting some weight off of the most damaged area of the knee. In the case of osteoarthritis, knee bracing may also reduce the misalignment that results in a knock-kneed or bowlegged look, which often occurs with the disease.

Your chiropractor at Nevada Pain Care will assess and fit you for a brace to treat your specific pain condition. He or she will instruct you in its use, and may recommend strengthening exercises and additional chiropractic care to manage your pain. If you achieve full pain relief through treatment with us, you can utilize your brace for flare-ups or when carrying out physical activity.
